These booties are soft and sweet! They keep their shape very well.
They are easy to make - even for beginners! The top of the bootie is one piece (that doesn’t include the appliqués). Wool felt is used for the lining of the sample shoes (acrylic felt can be used in place of the wool felt). Cotton and ultra suede fabrics were used for the outside of the sample shoes. The felt lining is fused to the fabric and then the top and sole shapes are cut out and stitched. Shoes are tied with 1/4” to 3/8” ribbon.
The booties can be made in three styles – penguin, plain with toe shapes (pink booties), and plain without toe shapes (tan booties).
This ten page PDF e-pattern includes full size patterns, a materials list, instructions written in English, and step-by-step photographs. Booties will fit babies from newborn to approximately 14 months. Four sizes of booties are included in pattern - lengths of finished soles are 4”, 4.25”, 4.5” and 4.75”. If you would like to make booties with a 5” sole, enlarge the 0-6 month size to 120%. Optional instructions are given to put a non-skid sole on shoes for babies that are walking.

6 to 9 months - 4.25” length of finished sole
9-12 months - 4.5” length of finished sole
12-14 months - 4.75” length of finished sole
