I took years of ballet classes when I was little yet I never really had dreams of becoming a prima ballerina. What I did dream of was to be able to gracefully pirouette and fly across the stage in spitzen! But alas, by the time I was old enough to be allowed to wear them, my interest in ballet had waned.

These days when I see a pair of white cords running down someone's neck, I sometimes wonder what it would be like to be so absorbed in the music thundering into my head that I would forget myself and just start dancing with abandon...

I drew the illustration in pen + ink, then scanned and digitally colorized it. Printed with high-quality archival inks on acid-free, fine artisan paper.

Conservation-quality rag mat is acid-free and custom cut to fit my illustrations. Comes packaged with acid-free backer board in protective cello sleeve, ready for framing. Safely shipped in a stay-flat mailer.
