This soap is a combination of goats milk tinted with french red clay and clear glycerin. Additionally, I add EMU Oil and Vitamin E Oil for added moisture. Emu oil is extremely similar to that of human skin. Thus, it absorbs much more quickly and deeply into the dermis to provide the most effective moisturizing available.
Most of the cleansing bars that you buy at the store are detergents and not soaps at all. They are made from synthesized chemicals and are detergents containing petroleum distillates rather than oil. On the other hand, true soap is made from natural oils (such as coconut , safflower, olive and palm) and is a gentle cleansing product retaining its natural glycerin. While commercial manufacturers remove the glycerin for use in their more profitable lotions and creams, my handmade soap retains glycerin in each and every bar. Glycerin is a humectant, meaning it attracts moisture to your skin. Glycerin is a natural by-product of the soap making process. Because of this, you must have a soap dish that drains to keep let your bar dry between showers.
All of my soaps are made in small batches 7 bars at a time. Each bar is handcut, 5 -6 oz. big bar,wrapped,and placed in a cellophane bag for gift giving. I love making soap that I know is not only pretty, but is good for your skin as well!
