This hat is an advanced beginner crochet project, using worsted weight yarn and simple stitches. You'll need to know how to crochet in the round and work a treble crochet.
To finish the embellishments on the hat, you'll need to know how to make fabric yo yos. If you do not know how, I have a couple of links included with the pattern that will help you learn. Or you can purchase the embellishment ready made from me in my shop.
