This listing is for the bottom image in white with the skeleton leaf.
both of these prints are framed in shadow boxes giving them a unique "discovered treasure" feeling.
This image consists of several art endeavors of mine where papermaking and print making collide. The artist's made paper includes cotton, flax, grass, flecks of silver leaf with a pressed leaf from my garden embedded in the paper. The pattern on the side was created in Photoshop from a scan of a skeleton leaf found in my garden and printed via pronto-plate. The photo of branches is a solar etching from my winter walk series taken in the Austin Hill country.
Etching on Artist’s made paper, polymer gravure solar plate on chine collè, and pronto plate
7”h x 14.5”w, unique print
The two mixed media pieces shown in this installation view make a fabulous pair and love being snuggled up in their shadow box frames. If you are considering purchasing both prints and the frames that I have them in, convoy me and I'll offer you a special discounted price.
