This series of pipe vases reminds me of sparrow eggs. There is a wonderful chalky blue/white/gold patina that is very light and earthy.
I suggest you put your favorite dried flower arrangements in this during your 'off' times of having fresh flowers. You can preserve the life of your vase by putting a glass holder inside of it or just making sure you pat it down with a towel after using it. You can display this outside too, but again, I wouldn't suggest leaving it out in the elements over night, as these are recycled pipes with only interior protection applied. Also good to store long paintbrushes if you are an artist, or other utensils.
I've cleaned this pipe with an eco-friendly degreaser both inside and out. The edges have been ground down to a smooth finish. I've cut up aluminum to make the bottom of the vase and painted the interior with rust converter and protective paint.
