They were composed of oddly familiar pieces of ivory.
"Finest specimens of human molars," he informed me.
- "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Meyer Wolfsheim is a notorious underworld figure and business associate of Gatsby. He is deeply involved in organized crime, and even claims credit for fixing the 1919 World Series. His character, like Fitzgerald's view of the Roaring Twenties as a whole, is a curious mix of barbarism and refinement. He is the one who wears his cufflinks made from human molars with pride!
These molars, unfortunately, are not of the human sort, however they have been carefully sculpted from an ivory hue of polymer clay to look like a human molar. They are made in a rather cartoony Monster Kookies style, and are larger than real molars. They are affixed to a silver plated cufflink which may be adjusted.
They are a great accessory to a Great Gatsby fan, a great educational accessory if you are reading the Great Gatsby to your classroom, or as a great finishing touch if you plan on dressing up as Meyer Wolfsheim. Either way, even if you aren't into the Great Gatsby, they are still a great way to get noticed by curious onlookers.
