This is a lovely 1930's bra or bralette and matching tap panty set in a pretty sky blue silk satin. The bias cut tap pants are decorated with a deep rose, nude beige lace and exceptional decorative stitch-work on the thighs of the panty. The bra cups are unlined lace at the top portion and the lower is reinforced with netting and a small diamond shaped under bust lining for light shaping. These were the days before super push up and mega padding. Natural shape was in.
The bra fastens with two hooks and there is a small piece of elastic for about a 1/2 inch of give. The straps are simple satin ribbons. These bras do not have much give so bear that in mind when reviewing the measurements. They also do not conform to standard sizing we have today.
There is a label in the bra; Satin, Pure Dye, CRYSGLO Reg US Pat. Off. Bemberg Yarn & Silk.
Near Mint condition. This has been previously laundered and stored but shows no sign of previous wear. I did not rewash. Waist elastic is super stretchy. There are two very, very faint yellowish age related spots, one is about a 1/2 inch oval, on the side of the tap panty that are only seen with extreme scrutiny, the second is on what may have been a fold line.
This is a rare and beautiful set to find in such wonderful condition and would be a great gift for the vintage lingerie collector. Still very wearable of course today!

The panty is cut on the bias so there will be give size to side but the bra has only about 1/2 inch in the band and is a smaller B cup.

Hip - 38 inches (96.52 cm)
Length at side - 15 inches (38.10 cm)
Front crotch depth - 18 inches (45.72 cm)
Leg opening 30 inches (76.20 cm)
