No, it's not too pretty to use! Of course, this would be lovely on a mantel or bookcase, but it is also fully functional. The handle and pattern designs are influenced by my stay in France during an art exchange. The city I lived in is Nancy, a couple of hours east of Paris. I make tea in mine every day....and it just feels good! Swirl a little boiling water around first to warm it, then empty and add your tea bags, boiling water, and perhaps some fresh mint from your garden? What tea was meant to be! About 10 inches tall, holds one quart. Food safe, microwave and dishwasher safe as well.
