I build these one-of-a-kind cocktail/coffee tables by joining together small pieces of high-grade maple plywood into one whole table. Each segment is connected to the others with strong mortise-and-tenon joints---the table top looks fragile but it's solid. Cups won't fall into the cracks, but slide easily across the table. Your table will look similar to this one but each one I make is one-of-a-kind.
ASSEMBLY: Takes 5 minutes with supplied hardware and directions.
DIMENSIONS: Organic shape, about 24" in largest dimension. 15" tall.
NOTE: This size is perfect for a small coffee table or a low end table. Please make sure to measure your space carefully to make sure that this size will work for you.
COLOR OPTIONS: "Cinnamon" shown here. See attached image of color options, and type your choice into the "Note to Seller" portion of the order page. To order color samples, please see my other listing titled, "Color Sample Sheet." (The price of the sample sheet will be refunded to you if you buy a table.)
MATERIALS: I use the highest quality plywood I can find, and fortunately it's made right here in Oregon: http://www.appleply.com/. Though it looks just like birch plywood, it's actually made from maple, which is a harder, more durable alternative. I love this brand because it's beautiful, well-made, and has no added urea-formaldehyde. Most of the other brands of plywood are produced in China, where quality standards are not consistently enforced.
FINISH: I top-coat all of my tables with a durable, semi-gloss, water-based, poly-acrylic finish.
