This book was sewn with white waxed linen thread in the ancient Coptic binding style, which allows the stitching to become a decorative element on the spine. Pages lay flat when open for ease of writing.
Papers:
I selected an eco-friendly paper printed with a modern leaf pattern in yellow and white for the covers of this book. A contrasting pink and white print was used for the insides of the covers and the guards (the paper wrapped around the six sections of pages). These patterns were sustainably offset printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper. The interior pages are made from a lightly textured cream paper.
