Binding:
This book was sewn with white waxed linen thread in the ancient Coptic binding style, which allows the stitching to become a decorative element on the spine. Pages lay flat when open for easy journaling or sketching.
Papers:
Paper printed with a bold, modern floral pattern was used for the covers of this book. A textured, orange paper that I made by hand in Cortona, Italy was used for the inside covers and the guards (the paper wrapped around the six sections of pages). The interior pages are made from a smooth, cream, speckled paper.
