A little girl begged her grandmother for a cute copper bracelet at a tourist shop near the Grand Canyon. She wore it a few times, then forgot about it until many years later when she was clearing out her jewelry box. I'm the lucky recipient, so I hope she's proud of the upcycled result!
Kokopelli is a fertility deity and also represents the spirit of music in some Southwestern Native American cultures.
MATERIALS & METHODS
The earwires and other findings are sterling silver French hooks. The vintage Kokopelli charms are solid copper, and below each earring dangles a small round red jasper bead (4mm).
The earrings are about 1.5 inches (3.6 cm) long from the top of the earring wire. These are small, lightweight, and delicate.
