White sapphire is a nice, low-cost alternative to diamonds. It is a durable stone that looks great though it lacks the brilliance of a diamond. If you are looking for a closer substitution, I would recommend moissanite. It is as hard as a diamond with a very similar brilliance but it is similar in price to the white sapphire. It is a lab-grown gem that, in nature, occurs only in meteorites in minute quantities-- much too small to create gemstones. You can see what moissanite looks like in the ring in this listing: http://www.etsy.com/listing/56306766/ If you would like to substitute a 3mm moissanite, it will add $20 to the cost. Let me know and I can increase price on this listing before you purchase. If you are interested in a diamond for this ring, contact me and I can get you a price quote.
I currently do not have this ring in stock but I can recreate it in any size you need or remake it in white or yellow gold upon request. Contact me for details.
Custom ordered rings will take 3-4 weeks unless other arrangements have been made. I will ship domestic orders via USPS Priority Mail. All others will be sent first class mail unless other arrangements are made.
