These fingerprint pendants can be engraved on the front and back.
These items of jewellery are truly unique and it is really important to obtain a good fingerprint. This requires a special process, which you, the customer plays a very important part!
Here is a step by step guide to the process:
1. Order your jewellery on Etsy.
2. I have two different ways of obtaining the fingerprints and you can choose which method you prefer. Both methods give exactly the same pretty indented fingerprint on the finished piece of jewellery.
Choose either:
Method 1: I dispatch a fingerprint kit within 24 hours of receiving your order, which contains a special putty to take the fingerprints. The kit contains full step by step instructions. You take the fingerprints and send them back to me. This method is particularly good for younger children. It captures even the finest details of the fingerprint.
Method 2: You take an ink fingerprint using a black inkpad available in stationery shops and then scan the fingerprint. You then email me a jpeg or pdf of the fingerprint. This method gives the same pretty result as the putty method but has the advantage of being quicker since we are not reliant on the postal service.
3. Tell me what engraving you wish on the front and or back of your jewellery.
4. Once I receive the fingerprints I will complete your piece of jewellery within 5 to 10 working days.
Please note: Baby's fingerprints are not fully formed until they reach 3 to 4 months of age, I therefore recommend you wait until your baby is at least 3 months old. I will keep the prints on file for 12 months in case you wish to order further jewellery.
Please note the following information for Christmas fingerprint jewellery orders. To receive in time for Christmas, the last date for orders using Method 1 Fingerprint Kit is 14 November. If you wish to place your order after 14 November and receive your item in time for Christmas you must use Method 2 Ink Fingerprint. The last date for orders using the ink method is 5 December and fingerprints must be received by me by 6 December.
