The top of this pillow is sewn almost completely by hand. It is considered a type of quilting, even though there is not any actual quilting on the pillow. It is a very labor-intensive pattern and the pillow cover is quite heavy because each white square is four layers thick. I took this traditional pattern and gave it a modern twist using batik fabrics. The fabrics are 100% cotton. It is very easy to remove the pillow because of the overlapping back which can be seen in the last photo. I used a green print batik for the backing on this pillow.
I pre-washed each of the batik fabrics that were used, until the water ran clear, but I would only hand-wash this cover in cold water and dry flat, as this will keep the fabrics bright for a long time.

To my international customers, please understand that my pillow covers are heavy (at least 8 ounces), due to multi-layers of fabrics. I do not make any money from shipping charges. You pay what it costs to mail. Thanks for your understanding.
