The last line of the Divine Comedy, in which Dante is faced with the vision of God Himself, is a sentiment that is still easily understandable by anyone familiar with so-called modern Italian. Dante writes that God is not merely a blinding vision of glorious light, but that He is, most of all, “l’amor che move il sole e l’altre stelle…”
“The love that moves the sun and the other stars.”
-(an excerpt from EAT LOVE PRAY by Elizabeth Gilbert)
I LOVE this quote. I love everything about it. What it means, how it's said, who said it, the language it's said in, AND it reassures me that God is in the details. I didn't know if I could fit it all in a hand stamped (whew) pendant, but I did, and here it is, looking for a beautiful neck to embrace.
A very handsome, rustic and organically textured oval sets the stage for my favorite quote. This gold version of my very popular necklace originally in sterling silver is now available in 14k gold filled. It measures just over an inch in length and 3/4" wide.
