They will clean and sharpen them and give them new life. Kinda like chocolate does for me! These treats are filled with emery powder and coarse sand. Remove from the candy holder (made from a fabric yoyo), pinch between your fingers, run your needle back and forth a few times and soon it will be sharpened and clean. For slightly rusty or corroded needles you may need to run through extra times. Works great for sewing machine needles just don't run the thicker part though, same goes for large eyed needles like yarn needles or tapestry ones.
Who says functional has to be plain and boring? Have some fun and give some needle candies as treats to your needlecrafter buddies!
