This is a kit for converting any manual typewriter into a USB-ready keyboard, which will work with any Mac or PC computer, or with tablets such as the iPad. It comes with two blank circuit boards and all necessary electronic parts needed to convert your typewriter to USB (assembly required). It should take about 5-8 hours to complete this fun project, depending on skill level with a solering iron (intermediate to advanced). Soldering beginners can do this project if they have some guidance from a friend.

TOOLS NEEDED:
A soldering iron and solder
A dremel rotary tool for grinding (sandpaper works too)
Tweezers and Pliers
Hot Glue Gun and/or Superglue
Wire (24 or 26 awg stranded wire is best)
1" roll of gaffers tape (from art store or hardware store or on www.findtape.com). Duct tape will work, too.
