I don't know about you but I love watching chickens, they're forever pecking, clucking, scratching...
The chickens on this smaller hoop are made from green and yellow fabric printed in the heart of the Welsh countryside, and appliquéd onto vintage brushed cotton with yellow flowers.
The embroidery is done using a basic sewing machine fitted with a freehand embroidery foot. I cut the fabric to be appliqued and draw freehand straight onto the fabric using black thread.
This piece is mounted on an extra small 4"/11cm embroidery hoop (made in Britain).
The last two photos are to help you get an idea of the size of this hoop.
Ready to hang.
Each hoop is unique due to the nature of freehand machine embroidery, which I think adds to the charm. There will be slight variations from the photos shown.
