I drew the illustration by hand, and my husband Kirk hand-cranked each one through our letterpress 3 separate times (once for each color). We also made it the biggest size we could possible fit on our press. We're pleased as punch with the result and think it worthy of being framed and hung in a prime spot!

Letterpress is a centuries-old printing process. It involves an inked and raised form being pressed into the paper, creating an impression that you can see and feel. At Sycamore Street Press, we hand crank our goods one sheet of paper and one color at a time through our vintage Vandercook #3 letterpress. We pay close attention to detail, but the hand crafted nature of the process does lead to some variation in color and impression. These are an inherent part of the process, and add to its bespoke charm.
Wholesale inquiries welcome. Minimum $100 order for first time wholesale buyers.
