Our hardwood airplanes are crafted with love by us in our home workshop in Southern Ontario. They make great toys for young children aged 3 and up, and are easy for small hands to play with at approximately 16 centimeters (6 inches) long.
Children love these planes--when we are at craft shows, the planes attract a lot of attention from our youngest customers!
The plane's wings are walnut. The body of the plane is maple. The round piece under the propeller is purpleheart.
The wheels (which are handmade by us as well, not prefabricated) and the propeller both spin smoothly.
We finished the plane with our natural homemade beeswax polish to bring out the colour of the woods. We never use paints or dyes on our toys.
