The arms, legs, and wings can be sewn on at different angles, to alter the dragon's pose, and the spikes and horns are optional. There are 2 sets of instructions for making up the wings- machine sewable wings with top-stitched and stuffed details, or combination machine and hand sewn wings with a contrast fabric for the membrane.
The default size will go together in an unhurried afternoon session, depending on your choice of fabrics and wing construction.
This would be a good project for anyone who has a little bit of sewing experience. This particular design is very popular with dragon fans of all ages- with embellishment, it can be an art doll, or made up from bright felt (using safety eyes, and not wiring the horns, of course) it's an instant favourite for kids.
This pattern can be printed smaller, or enlarged on a copy machine, though for sizes smaller than the default, I would recommend hand sewing the fiddlier seams.
This printable PDF pattern features 3 pages of pattern peices (a large and a small version), 1 page of computer-illustrated diagrams, 3 pages of instructions, a suggested layout, as well as some photos of dragons in progress which are included in the delivery email.
