This particular scroll end design inspired by the prolific iron work in New Orleans, most notably the Pontalba design, which derives it's name from the Pontalba building in the French Quarter.
Ring is available in a brushed finished or blackened, as seen in last photo.
Feel free to ask any questions. Iron care instructions come with ring.

Most of these nails are probably from the mid to late 19th century; however, I cannot verify or guarantee this. Most houses in this historic neighborhood were constructed then, but some were constructed into the 20th century. I am gathering these nails from shamefully thrown out old growth pine and cypress flooring, barge board and the like, which points to a specific time period of construction. Therefore, I feel I am making a reasonable educated guess as to how old the nails are. Square nails are still produced today; I do guarantee that I am not using them for these rings :)
