This is an original pattern of my own design to make a beautiful Dragonet - a young or small dragon. It might be quite small for a dragon, but depending on the yarn you use it will end up about 17.5" long with a 22" wingspan.
The pattern is fairly straightforward and suitable for intermediate level crocheters. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi. There are lots of photos to help you, particularly with the construction of the wings and with putting the parts together. You will also receive a bonus, text-only version of the pattern which is useful to print out and use while you are crocheting.
The pattern is a downloadable PDF file, plus the bonus text-only PDF and you will need Adobe Reader to open them. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have as you are making your Dragonet.
To make it you will need:
100g double knitting weight yarn, of whichever colour you wish to use for your dragonet. (Acrylic yarn may be best to give the required stiffness in the wings).
Stuffing.
1 pair 12 mm safety eyes or 12mm diameter beads (you will also need cotton thread and a needle that will fit through the beads if you are using these).
Tapestry needle.
3.5mm hook (US E hook).
