This Labradorite is truly stunning. It has a very strong flash with the primary colors ranging from deep gold to a pale green. The pattern on the stone is such, that it appears almost as though you are looking at a scattering of leaves in Autumn.
I had been asked to create a piece of jewelry with a dragonfly for quite awhile now. 2009 provided the inspiration I'd been waiting for: on 3 occasions a dragonfly flew by me as I went about by day. For many parts of the world this would not be that strange, but for New York City this is HIGHLY unusual! I've since done a lot of reading about dragonflies and discovered that symbolically they represent transformation and the ability to see what is illusion and what is reality. To me, they look like magic.
**A note on bronze: this ring may leave a mark when worn(but it may not). A person with a more acidic system is more likely to have a reaction than someone who is more alkaline. A beautiful patina will emerge on this piece as it ages, but can be removed with a jewelry cloth. Should you desire, I will be more than happy to apply a liquid that prevents bronze from marking the skin, please just let me know in the comments section.
