Many postal doors from various manufacturers were produced starting back in the Mid - to Late 1800's
Made from wood, metal and even bakelite most commonly the postal door fronts were made from Brass, Bronze, Copper Aluminum and Steel. Some of these post office mailbox locks were Nickel Plated, Copper Plated, Chrome Plated, Baked Enamel and Powder Coated over cast brass or bronze. Most of these OLD, Vintage and Antique locks either had combination tumbler type locks or keyed locks while others had rather simple turn latch openers. The Old School Mailboxes sometimes were Greatly Embellished with eagle or elaborate designs with various single dial or double combination locking combination or keyed locking mechanics

Here is a Nice OLD Red Brass Bronze Postal Door made into a coinbank
American Device Lock Company Started Producing these Mailboxes back in the mid 1900's and were used as mailroom equipment across the USA
The postal door itself has been refinished and comes complete with all working parts and is fully functional

I have custom engraved and Hand Hammered the "US" Logo on the front of the postal door
The bank box is made from REAL OAK and Walnut Wood
