The delicate features of each butterfly have been painstakingly rendered with amazing accuracy. Exhibiting an almost primitive quality these hand colored engravings almost seem to glow on the page, and give the appearance of being entirely hand drawn.
Photographs online do not give it justice. Each print page measures approximately 7 inches by almost 10 inches. The relevant descriptive text is included when possible. Please review the scanned photos as they are quite accurate. All our prints are authentic antique prints and guaranteed to be from the date stated. These prints are over 130 years old and in amazing condition.
The condition of the print is excellent. The hand coloring is vibrant. The paper is cream or off white in color. These prints have become increasingly limited and almost rare, we just stumbled upon a small stash on our little excursion to England.
Some prints may show some minor foxing and toning common to prints of this age please look at the scans as they come as clear as possible thus showing the imperfections and patina of time.
