For this one I really have to let the photos talk - a sturdy top hat with tentacles spilling out of the top - what could be more eye-catchingly awesome? Embellished with real seashells and starfish, glass and real pearls, silver German glass glitter, Swarovski crystal rhinestones, silk and ribbons, and poufs of white dotted tulle to mimic seafoam.
This hat in the photos is covered with black satin woodgrain moire, the brim is finished in black satin, the band is warm gold silk dupioni. The tentacles are bright orange and shaded with rust to create depth.
I can replicate this color and material combination for you, or you can pick out your own colors! My previous incarnation of this hat was a soft seafoam green moire fabric with turquoise silk band, and bright pink tentacles!
Other possible combinations:
Black with gray tentacles, gray silk band, white or orange starfish
Black with pink tentacles, striped band, white starfish
All white! That would look stunning!
Baby blue with silver band and white tentacles
Brown with orange tentacles
Black with deep burgundy tentacles...
So many possibilities!
I have both orange and white starfish, or I can make them without shells and starfish at all.
Professional buckram and wire construction and sewn by hand.
Hat is about 8-12" tall counting the tentacles.
Secures to the head and hair with long satin ribbons and an elastic band.
This hat is heavier than my other hats, please be aware of this when purchasing.
Please allow between 3-4 weeks for completion, plus additional time for shipping!
This also affects the cost of shipping - this hat will be shipped insured and traced via Ground/Parcel post. Please allow at least a week extra for this. If you want it shipped more quickly it will cost around $30 more because of the box size.
