This amazing Hugo Grygkar design exhibits all the style and rich attention to detail that one expects from a collectible Hermes silk scarf. Depicting King Louis XIV of France’s royal galley. It is covered in symbols of French Royalty; fleur-de-lys, the double L monogram of King Louis XIV, a shield, a crown, Gods, Goddesses, Horses, Mermen and the God Apollo with the rays of the sun that symbolize the Sun King - Louis XIV. The first date of issue for this carre was 1953 however it has been reissued a few times due to it's popularity. I believe this is a 70s version.
Complete with box, no label, guaranteed authentic. Luxury silk twill, hand rolled hems are plump. Excellent vintage condition; gently worn, rich colors. Some damage to box.
