This listing shows another example of my custom work: the text is in the shape of a flame. The Hebrew/Aramaic and English texts are set off by the addition of small wisps of lettering in Italian ("ho scoperto lui in cui la mia anima si deliza") and Hebrew - both phrases translate as "I have found the one in whom my soul delights," Song of Songs 3:4. The ink colors, black and "indian red," add subtle contrast.
Your ketubah will be special to you, and I am happy to work with you on all details. My ketubahs are not prints: they are live calligraphy on a gouache-painted or white background, entirely done by hand.
Approximately 16"x20" (text area smaller).

All my ketubahs and wedding certificates are custom made. I do any background watercolor (ink wash) painting, papercut design and cutting, and all calligraphy myself. I can work with any text you give me, in any language, and I love to include images and symbols that are special to you in the papercut or calligraphic design. I will work with you to develop your dream ketubah or wedding certificate. Also, if you happen to be in the NYC area, I would be happy to meet with you to show you some examples of my work.
My ketubahs and wedding certificates are not prints: they are actual original paintings onto which I write, in calligraphy, your text. This is different from pre-printed ketubahs and certificates you see that are "personalized" simply by adding your names, place, dates into a blank slot.
Please convo me if you are interested in custom artwork of this kind. You can see other samples of my work on my website (http://www.jerise.com).
