The topic index reads like "the seventy-seven deadly sins" - with references to little known facts about literary giants as diverse as Anne Bradstreet (1612-1672) and Sylvia Plath (1932-1963).
This hardcover book is in very good vintage condition, with firm binding and clear, unmarked pages. There is foxing, and the white, red and black dust jacket, with it's humorous cartoon caricatures, shows some wear and slight tears at the edges.
