The Collective represents the ultimate in Will Rockwell's experimentation in the design of Steampunk USB drives. Sculpted from rosewood, the drive features a brass manifold feeding four serpentine coolant pipes. A large framed cabochon serves as a service light, and a tiny imitation gauge is marked by a watch hand and domed cover. The storage tank caps the drive, a reliable 16Gb flash memory purchased at B&H Photo in New York. A tiny plaque bears the engraved signature of Will Rockwell and the date, 2010. The drive sits on a velvet covered plynth in a glass museum case with hinged top. Do you know someone who has everything? He doesn't have this.
