Rhassoul Clay is an excellent clay offering many benefits. It is mined in the fertile Atlas Mountains of Morocco and has been used for over 12 centuries by population in North Africa, Southern Europe and Middle East.
Benefits: Rhassoul is a type of saponified clay that when mixed with water creates a mud which can be used as a hair treatment/shampoo as well as a face/skin treatment; the mud is absorbant and cleansing, getting rid of oil and toxins from hair and skin; it is said to minimizes pores in the skin, clarifies skin color, improve clarity and elasticity, eliminates blackheads, reduce dryness and flakiness, and gives hair body, as well as, regulates the excretion of sebum in the scalp and makes the hair shiny. The high capacity of absorption is due to the high level of ions exchange. This clay is also rich in magnesium, Silica, potassium and calcium.
Application: It is used in many professional applications in spas and it aids in rejuvenation, detoxification and toning of the skin. It can be used in soaps, shampoos, facial hair and body masks and skin conditioners.
Directions for Facial Cleanser: Add one teaspoon Rhassoul Clay to one teaspoon water, mix and apply to face and neck and allow to dry. Rinse with warm water.
For hair mix equal parts Rhassoul and water and massage into scalp and hair. Let sit for 5 to 10 minutes (or 20 mins. as a weekly treatment) then rinse.
