I created this calendar as a personal gift - and thought some of you may enjoy gifting it as well!
This calendar consists of 12 individual prints, sized 5" x 7". Display them as you wish! Tacked to a bulletin or inspiration board, hung by a clip, propped on a miniature easel, or displayed in a standard 5x7 photo frame... they will look lovely any way you show them!
Most of the shoes here have never been seen before! They are not from my original Shoe Fleur collection featured in my 2007 book but were created in the same way - entirely from fresh flowers!! Maybe they will be in a new book - Shoe Fleur Volume 2!
This calendar is printed in my professional studio with archival pigment ink on 100% cotton Canon fine art watercolor paper.

The book project Shoe Fleur: A Footwear Fantasy began with a photograph of a leaf I had taken for a client. The leaf was turned upside down and I remember saying out loud to no one in particular, “That leaf looks like a shoe!”. After a move here and a twist there, I had created my first shoe fleur, appropriately named "La Première."
Each morning for a year I went to the flower market and came home with the blooms that inspired me. The flowers actually spoke to me…and by sculpting these accessories from individual botanicals I was speaking back.
