The earrings are created with vitreous enamel on copper and measure about 2" long. Earwires are formed from sterling silver wire, shaped to compliment the enamel's uneven form.
Cutting intuitive facets around the edges of these earrings provided a refreshing break from the usual perfectionistic shapes that I create for my enameled work, and I think the energy shows. Damask patterns are etched into copper sheet, then cut to shape and enameled to bring out the motif's details. The back of the enamel features a contrasting bright minty blue to catch the eye as the earrings sway with your movements.
