This vintage bag, a unique micro beaded purse really must be seen to be fully appreciated. It has a rigid hinge, rigid top spring loaded closure in gold tone that works perfectly. There is an embossed design on the gold-toned trim which has no rusting or discoloration.
The beadwork is in multiple shades of soft muted pastel blues, pinks and lavenders. The intricate designs are repeated on the back - not just on the front as some micro bead designs are done. I am not an expert on purses and I have tried to research this purse as thoroughly as I can. Having said that, I would describe the beads as glass micro beads with some gold toned steel cut beads intermixed to enhance the design.
The handle is also micro beads in a twisted rope style. The satiny, silk-like interior is absolutely pristine. It does not appear to have been used. The only "flaw" I can see is a string about 1/8" long on the front.
The purse measures 6 1/2" x 8 1/2". Please contact me with any questions you may have about this item. The close-up picture of the purse is an actual scan so you can see the intricacy of the design. The colors are not as dark as they appear in that photo.
This is truly a unique, quality purse with beautiful detail that would be a perfect accessory for any formal event.
