Acrylic and wax pencil on gessoed matboard.
This painting is from a series of imagined landscapes, with details informed by memory and photograph. In this series, I have made heavier use of pallet knives to uncover hidden layers of color, as well as black wax pencil to effect a more dreamlike tone.
