About the dye process....
Arashi & Bomaki shibori are by far my favorite dye techniques. Unwrapping a pole is like opening a present, I can never be sure how it's going to turn out. Sometimes it's the diamond ring, and every once in a while it's the re-gifted fruitcake from someone's company christmas party. (Those never make it to my shop. I have an oops bin for those)
These techniques are also the most labor intensive of all that I do, but I wouldn't give it up for anything. I hope you appreciate the color and softness as much as I do.
Silk & rayon velvet is soft and luxurious, but surprisingly sturdy. I'm a t-shirt and jeans girl, no dry cleaning for me! So trust me when I say- this is an everyday luxury, that is easy to wear, love and even easier to care for.

About your TeeGee Studio Scarf...
This scarf has been hand dyed in my home studio using fiber reactive dyes that form a permanent bond with the fibers. It will not wash out or fade under normal use. To keep your scarf looking as bright and beautiful years from now as it does now, please use the following care instructions:
Please hand wash in lukewarm water, hang dry. Fluff in the dryer for 15 minutes - no heat- to restore the pile.
Iron on silk setting (with steam) for a crushed velvet (panne) look.
Do not bleach- bleach eats silk.

Everything is created in my smoke-free, but pet friendly home. Every piece is washed many times before it is "done" and put straight away into plastic bins. Please feel free to contact me with any concerns.
