The covers of this journal are made from black walnut that has been sealed with a wax finish. It measures approximately 7 1/2 inches by 6 inches. It has 144 hand torn pages (front & back) of heavy weight acid free drawing paper perfect for writing or sketching or holding your favorite photos. It is bound in a variation of the coptic style so will lay completely flat when open.
The front cover is embellished with a carved window that holds a single black and white feather. I have also sewn end bands on the top and bottom of the spine. The end sheets and spine covers are red.
