I found a lot of dead stock garters, labeled as "boot straps", that featured great brass hardware, a little baroque and just begging to be used as a small frame. I painted the backgrounds black and added my favorite copper arrows. Then, I sealed it all off with a thin layer of resin- you never know when rain or mud will attack your lower half!
These used to be offered in a fixed size with little gold crimps on either side of the arrows. Sadly, I have exchanged these cute crimps for something way more awesome: an improved fit!!! All garters now have a small gold slider so that they can be adjusted to the perfect size.
