This spiral pendant tutorial features a neat, repeatable method for securely setting faceted, un-drilled stones - as neat on the back as they are on the front!!!!

This project is presented in an easy to understand, step-by-step format. Clear and close photos supported by comprehensive written instructions guide you. Numerous tips and troubleshooting make this project easy to finish and help you create your own personal variations. There is a full section on substitution possibilities included. :^)))

This tutorial is written as an INTERMEDIATE project. Students with more advanced beginner skills might be ready for this challenge, but they should consider their skill set carefully.

Photos show several different sizes and types of stones - this is one versatile technique!

MATERIALS:
Materials make this exact pendant. Substitutions are possible

Various gauges of sterling silver wire (dead soft)
Sterling silver round beads with large holes (1.2 to 1.5mm)
8mm round faceted stone

TOOLS:
Chain nose pliers
Round nose pliers
Flush cutters
Awl or sharp darning needle
Approx. .5in. diameter mandrel
Ruler with metric markings
Craft or pen knife
26g mandrel ( .017in. unwound steel 'G' string from guitar)

OPTIONAL:
Wire Gauge
Rawhide or nylon hammer
Bail pliers
Bench Block
