This is a pristine Maker's Notebook carefully fit with two 5 3/8" x 6 7/8" rectangles of heat-sensitive, color-changing film--one on the front cover, and one on the back cover.

The film is black below temperatures of about 95 degrees Farenheit, and changes from red through the spectrum to blue at about 99 degrees. In other words, it is designed to change color at about the temperature of the human body. Video of the color-changing effect is here:
