IMPORTANT about Condition:
The back has major loss. The front has cracks and two small circles. The original glass and rims are still in place and there are two fabulous Victorian tintypes of ladies still inside. One glass and frame will not stay in place when opened because of the crack. BUT the locket opens and closes. Stays closed when shut.
Never the less...right up front, I want you to look at all of the photos and see the damage for yourself! Be sure and click on the larger views. I have combined some photos so you can see every possible angle of this locket.
The angel is beautifully done! I have had this locket for years and I am very partial to it...despite the wear. I have kept this piece in my collection because I love angels and Victorian lockets, but I feel like this locket should be put in a display case so it can be admired by many. Even with it's damage, it is a very rare example of Victorian jewelry. C1860
