Our strawberries and rhubarb are pesticide-free and we obtain them fresh from local farmers who sell at farmers markets. We got lucky and discovered a Southern California farmer who has found a way to grow rhubarb year round, not just in the Spring.
Ingredients: Fruit (strawberries, rhubarb), cane sugar, lemon juice, pectin. NO pesticides!
Try this with cream cheese and the strawberry flavor comes out. Try it with goat cheese and the tart rhubarb flavor is more pronounced.
This full-flavored jam is perfect not just on toast or bagels, but also on ice cream! Thin it with just a bit of water and warm a few seconds on the stove or in the microwave. If you think you don't like rhubarb, you'll change your mind when you enjoy this warmed sauce on vanilla ice cream.
