This necklace was inspired by the SJ Tucker song "Firebird's Child":

It features a sterling wire bird on a round, domed copper background, which I have stamped, textured, and pierced. I oxidized the piece, then polished it lightly to bring it to a shiny finish while still keeping the smoky patina. The medallion measures a little over 1.25" across, and it hangs from a comfy handmade orange silk necklace.
