Warm honey tones with a touch of stormy. I love the fall. I love the storm rolling in. A bit on the impressionist side. I crafted this piece to remember the smell of the newly crackled leaves in all shades of rust and brown and golden. Feel the wind blowing around. The stone itself had a lot to do with it. Everything from the easy buff colored back ground to the wee cliff rising out of the lower right corner. Most especially I drew on the colors of that wee cliff. I want to pull them into the rest of the rock.
Found the stone in the remnant bin, where I get so many of the best canvases ever made. Decided to recycle the stone and maybe the save the tree I took so much time to sketch out.
Approx 10" square and 1 1/2" deep at the thickest point.
Wall hanging.
