Every ring I make is handmade from my original designs. My jewelry pays homage to my culture and the beauty it holds. The celebration of Dia De Los Muertos is a traditional holiday that celebrates those family or friends that have passed. My pieces are inspired by that love.
This little sugar skull ring started as a whimsical sketch, I wanted to translate that whimsy from paper to this ring. This skull is one of my favorites. The banner on the forehead is more traditional it is for the loved ones name to be placed. The eyes are also really cute flowers. The skull is hand sawn, etched, and slightly doomed to bring out the details. I also painted into the fine lines to give it more depth and dimension.
Please put size of ring in the comments section.
Each piece is handmade in my studio using traditional silversmith techniques. My pieces are always made entirely from sterling silver (18 or 20 gauge)
Height: 27-30 mm
Width: 21-23 mm
Every step in the making of this pendant was done by hand by me. Due to the nature of handmade work, and because each ring is etched one at a time, the piece you receive may differ slightly from that pictured. The finish on this piece is brushed, oxidized and signed.
