Montessori Baby Toys is a special collection of toys made just for infants and toddlers. Each toy is from or inspired by the Assistant to Infancy Montessori training for ages 0 to 3.
Generous friends shared these patterns with me when I was pregnant with my daughter. In making them for her, I realized how beautiful and simple they were, and wanted to help other families have such perfect little first toys.
The toys are intended for age 3 months and up. Three if the toys are intended for age 3 months and up. Two if the toys are for infants around 9 months and up. An information card is included that gives the approximate age at which to offer each toy and the purpose of each.
There are five toys. Four are made of wood. They are all about 4" or less in size which is perfect for a baby's hands. The crocheted rattle is my own creation. The rattle is made of black and white cotton yarn crocheted around metal bells. The crochet rattles are safe for the washer and dryer.
The interlocking discs are intended to stay together. They are such a wonderful creation, but can be broken. Please keep them safe from falls and too much pressure. If cared for they will last a long time.
