You will receive 40 hardbound copies of your book, either full color or black and white (your choice), each 32-pages long.
I have extensive experience storytelling and illustrating. My storyboards have been used in commercials and film, and my illustrations have been featured in Daily Candy, Town and Country Magazine, Sunset Magazine, and the Today Show. I recently illustrated a book for the band CAKE, released in a special limited edition in conjunction with their new album "Showroom of Compassion".
PROCESS:
First, let's discuss your story and what you're looking for. Before taking on your project, I would like to have a very good grasp of the type of story and the details you'd like me to tell. Then, fly me out to your venue and I will spend up to five days with you (or two separate weekends) taking reference photos, making sketches, and learning your story. When I return home, I'll assemble the information I've gathered and discuss with you where the story could go. Once we've decided on a direction, I'll start creating the script, including any aspects that you request. You will approve the final script. I will then create a rough black and white sketched storyboard of the book for you to approve. Details of the composition may change but the general pacing will remain the same. Creating the perfect storyline will need your input and may also require you to provide extra reference photos.

I will check in with you when I begin the book, to show you examples of the finished artwork and the style. Any changes you'd like to make to the general style should happen at that time. You are welcome to check in at any time with me to see progress, though any major changes to any aspect of the book (style, storyline, etc) cannot happen after I start the book.
I ask for a deposit before starting, with payments at benchmark times in the process. I will retain all rights to the book and artwork, including all artwork created during the process.
